SOMACEPT rigid × SOMARESON flexible

Fast anti-inflammatory relief
SOMACEPT rigid microcone patch

SOMACEPT

Rigid microcone patch

  • MaterialRigid plastic resin
  • Microcone height0.15 mm (150 μm)
  • Microcones (L)129 cones
  • Microcones (S)36 cones
  • Nerve fibreAδ fibres (sharp and acute pain)

How it works

The rigid microcones give the skin a stronger physical stimulus, preferentially activating the Aδ fibres — the fast nerves that carry sharp pain. This triggers the anti-inflammatory arm of the axon reflex, improving local circulation and damping the transmission of pain signals.

When to use it

Sprains / acute lower back painKnee pain / frozen shoulder, acute phaseSports injuries / muscle strainsJoint inflammation / tenosynovitis
Deep, unwinding relief
SOMARESON flexible microcone patch

SOMARESON

Flexible microcone patch

  • MaterialElastic rubber resin
  • Microcone height0.3 mm (300 μm)
  • Microcones (L)177 cones
  • Microcones (S)53 cones
  • Nerve fibreC fibres (dull and chronic pain)

How it works

The elastic rubber microcones give a gentler, sustained stimulus that activates the C fibres — the slow nerves that carry dull pain. This prompts the release of the body's own opioid substances in the spinal cord, for deep pain relief and muscular release.

When to use it

Stiff neck and shoulders / chronic lower back painAching fatigue / frozen shoulder, chronic phaseTight fascia / autonomic dysregulationLong-standing poor posture / long hours at a desk

Axon Reflex Science

The axon reflex — the heart of the skin science

01

The stimulus arrives

As the microcones meet the skin, mechanoreceptors turn the physical stimulus into an electrical signal that travels along the sensory nerve fibres toward the centre.

02

The axon reflex

Before reaching the spinal cord, the signal triggers the axon reflex at a nerve branch, releasing neuropeptides (CGRP, substance P) back down the branch and setting off a local anti-inflammatory and vasodilatory response.

03

Circulation improves

Vasodilation brings oxygen and nutrients in abundance and clears metabolic waste faster, supporting tissue repair and easing pain.

Clinical Evidence

Randomised double-blind trial at Tokoha University

The Faculty of Health Sciences at Tokoha University tested the SOMANIKS microcone patches in a randomised double-blind trial. Participants did not know whether they were using the real patch or a placebo. The results:

+15%

Gain in muscle strength

-23%

Drop in pain score

2x

Increase in blood flow

The study found that microcone patches significantly improve local blood circulation, lower pain scores and enhance muscular performance through the axon reflex mechanism. The results reached statistical significance (p<0.05).

How to Use

How to use it

1

Clean the skin

Wipe the area with an alcohol swab and make sure the skin is clean and dry.

2

Find the tender point

Press gently with your fingertips to find the most sensitive spot — that is where the patch goes.

3

Choose the patch

Rigid SOMACEPT for acute pain, flexible SOMARESON for chronic pain.

4

Apply and secure

Place the patch over the tender point and press lightly to make sure it is firmly stuck down.

5

Pair with the oil

You can apply MUNI Scent around the patch to deepen the sense of release.

6

Change regularly

Replace every 2–3 days to keep the stimulus at its best.
